The official web project dumlupinar.bel.tr that we developed for the historical Dumlupınar district in Kütahya is a modern municipal platform that digitalizes citizen-focused public services and provides end-to-end transparency. We have brought the historical legacy of Dumlupınar, a turning point in the Turkish War of Independence, to a global vision with modern web technologies.
While digitalizing the historical texture, we created not just an e-municipality system, but also a tourist guide and interactive cultural platform that appeals to international visitors.
Project Highlights:
- Barrier-Free Web (Accessibility) Module: A dedicated, comprehensive accessibility panel featuring "Large Cursor", "Reading Mask", "Contrast Mode", and "Hide Images" has been engineered specifically for disadvantaged citizens.
- Cinematic Welcome and Dynamic Showcase: Visitors are drawn into the historical atmosphere with a high-resolution drone background video that plays immediately upon entering; combined with a fluid card-slider architecture showing historical sites.
- Real-Time API Integrations: Instant weather data for Dumlupınar district has been seamlessly integrated into the header layout through the Open-Meteo API.
- Multilingual Public Platform: Considering the region's contribution to international tourism, a fully equipped 3-language (TR, EN, DE) (i18n) infrastructure has been built.
- Modern Technology Infrastructure: Built on modern React architecture, the system offers sub-second load times utilizing LiteSpeed servers and cutting-edge web typography optimizations.
This project is the ultimate real-world example of how to build a public sector digital identity with technical prowess matching its historical significance.
